This was Grace's first performance as opener on Imagine Dragon's Evolve Tour.
“Opener Grace Vanderwaal was a pleasant surprise with the 14-year old holding her own in the arena rock milieu.” (Masslive.com Jun 06, 2018)
“Grace Vanderwaal, winner of America's Got Talent Season 11, opened the show, pleasing the crowd with hits like "Moonlight," "So Much More Than This," and her debut single, "I Don't Know My Name." In her floor-length hippie-esque dress, flower crown, and ukulele, she spread positivity and good vibes to the crowd, revving up the audience for a chill night ahead.” (Oliviaperreault.com Jun 7, 2018)
“Grace’s vocals were already in mid-tour form, and the song choices seem to have been tailored to showing off the power and clarity that comes with moving from a child novice to a seasoned adult performer. Almost gone were the dropouts and vocal breaks that were ever-present in her earliest performances. Grace is now showing her chops as a veteran of the road, and almost all the way to the top of the game. (Vanddervault.org Jun 7, 2018) (review of someone who had attended the concert)
There were technical difficulties at 29:49 in the video. The band starts "Escape my mind but" then stop. They try to start again, but still technical issues. Grace asks for "recommendations" from the audience, then sings IDKMN (which requires no baking-tape). As the technical difficulties persist she launches into a half-hearted attempt at singing Camila Cabello's "Havana". Finally the technical problems seem to be fixed and she can finish her set with "Clearly"
